How to clone a Cloud server with data or without data

Cloning a Cloud service can be useful to have a server with the same features / data as one previously created.

In case of having a Cloud with SWPanel, the cloning of it must be without data.

There are two ways to clone a Cloud server. A clone with data keeps all the data, configurations, applications, etc. of the source server. However, a clone without data consists only of a deployed machine with exactly the same operating system and features, but without any of its content.

Cloning a Cloud with data

1. First of all, you will have to go to the Dashboard of the server you want to clone:

   

   💡 Remember that you can use the search engine to find the server faster.

2. Once in the Server Dashboard, you should go to Actions for this cloud -> Clone this Cloud:

   

3. A window will open in which we will be able to choose the location of the new cloned Cloud and how many clones we want to make:

   

4. Once the data has been selected, click on Accept and clone and the cloning process will start:

   

Clone a Cloud without data

1. First of all, you will have to go to the Dashboard of the server you want to clone:

   

   💡 Remember that you can use the search engine to find the server more quickly

2. Next you must go to Actions for this Cloud -> Clone Cloud same without data:

   

3. A window will open in which we will be able to choose the location of the new cloned Cloud and how many clones we want to make:

   

4. Once the data has been selected, click on Accept and clone and the cloning process will start:

In this way we will have made a clone of the Cloud.
