In this manual you will learn how to validate your domain ownership in Google Workspace and how to configure your hosting service to make use of Google Workspace email (Gmail).
Also, you will see how to create an SPF record to protect yourself against phishing and phishing, and avoid having your messages marked as spam.
Once you have signed up for Google Workspace, the first step is to validate the ownership of your domain.
To validate your domain ownership, you will need to create a TXT record in your DNS Zone using a unique security token that will be provided to you from the Google Admin Console.

Next, you will need to access the Google Admin Console and extract the MX records to create in your DNS Zone to be able to use Google Workspace email (Gmail).
If your users use email accounts with your domain name (e.g. [email protected]), you will need to create their email accounts manually through the Google Admin Console before configuring the MX records so that they can continue to receive email.
If you signed up for Google Workspace before April 2023, the records to create in your DNS Zone are as follows:

Once the Google MX records have been created, you will need to remove any other MX records from the DNS Zone.
Next, you will need to go back to the Google Admin Console and open the Settings tool.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and in the Gmail section, click on Activate and finish the configuration process.
It may take 48 to 72 hours before you start receiving your emails at your new Google Workspace email address. In the meantime, you will be able to receive your emails in the email client you have been using so far.
Protect yourself against spoofing and phishing, and prevent your messages from being marked as spam. SPF is a mail authentication method that protects against phishing and prevents servers from marking your messages as spam.
It helps identify the servers authorized to send messages on behalf of your domain, preventing your emails from being misinterpreted as spam. Implementing SPF is crucial to protect your domain's reputation and ensure the secure delivery of your emails.
Before creating the Google SPF record, you must first remove the current SPF record from your DNS Zone.

If you add the SPF record of a subdomain, in the Alias field, you must indicate the subdomain, and not @.
